This is to inform you that E.L.M. Insurance Brokers, Inc. has adopted a Privacy Policy not to share non-public personal financial information with non-affiliated third parties except when permitted by law.  This requires us to the following two things.  First, we must notify you against disclosures of non-public personal financial information in connection with your request to obtain Insurance Indications, Quotes, Premium Financing and or with the issuance of an Insurance Policy for you or your Client(s).  Second, we must notify our customers (Broker/sub-producers or you) of what information we collect about them, what we disclose, who we disclose it to and how we protect that information.

PROHIBITION AGAINST DISCLOSURE OF NONPUBLIC PERSONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR REQUEST TO OBTAIN INSURANCE INDICATIONS, QUOTES, AND OR THE ISSUANCE OF AN INSURANCE POLICY, FOR YOU, OR YOUR CLIENT(S)

In connection with your request to obtain Insurance Indications, Quotes, premium financing, and/or the issuance of an Insurance Policy, for you, or your Client(s), we may have, or will soon be, making disclosures orally, in writing, in electronic format and/or by electronic means of personal financial and other information of consumers and customers of ours (herein referred to as "Confidential Information").  We consider such "Confidential Information" to include all information and documents provided by you to us which contain, reflect or are based upon confidential Information.  However, by "Confidential Information" we do not mean information which (1) was or becomes generally available to the public in the same form as received by us, (2) was within our possession prior to its being furnished by you to us or, (3) becomes available to us on a non confidential basis from a source other than you and such source is not actually known to you to be bound by a confidentiality agreement.

If you are an Insurance Broker/ Sub-producer of ours, you have been, or will be, furnished the "Confidential Information" upon the understanding that you will use the "Confidential Information" only in connection with the services you are to perform for us.  Accordingly, you are not authorized to use or disclose the "Confidential Information" to anyone except as necessary to satisfy your obligations under our agreements and/or services you provide for us.  We expect you to inform all persons or entities to which you have or will disclose "Confidential Information" of the confidential nature of the "Confidential Information", and we further expect you to take reasonable steps to ensure that such persons or entities treat the "Confidential Information" confidentially and without further disclosure.

What Information we collect about you or your Clients?
We collect non-public personal financial information from you or your Client’s application or other requests for insurance or products we offer.  We may also collect information from other sources such as you or your Client’s prior insurance provider and sometimes from consumer reporting agencies.  This information can include prior loss history, credit or inspection and motor vehicle reports as may be required as part of the Underwriting process.

What Information about you do we disclose and to whom is it disclosed?
All of the non public personal information collected about you or your Clients in connection with the insurance policy you have or are applying for will be supplied solely to those Companies being approached for Indications, quotes, premium financing (where requested) or Policy Issuance only.  Said non-public personal information will also be available to some of our employees due to commonality of workplace and or processing necessities.  No other person or organization will be supplied any non public personal information.  We will not otherwise disclose non public personal financial information except as permitted by or required by law.

How do we protect your non public personal Information?
Information about you or your clients is protected physically, electronically and administratively by procedures we have implemented to ensure its safeguard.  Information about you or your clients is generally available only within our offices, but where made available to others for purposes relating to the services we provide to you, such disclosure is limited to that needed to satisfy the purpose in question.  Anyone who is given access to your information by us will be informed of the need to protect and safeguard its confidentiality, and is not authorized to use or further disclose your non-public personal information except in furtherance of the purpose for which such person was given the information.
